New York City has come a long way since 1968 when the doors first opened at Foto Care. New Yorkers endured a Ten Day Garbage Strike and Columbia students took over College buildings during a year marked of strife and unrest at home. Kodak dominated the business of imaging and news magazines such as LIFE, LOOK and TIME were the places where our customers wanted their work to published. It was then and here that Foto Care created a name for itself as the expert’s camera store. The four decades since haven’t diminished the energy and attraction for this city and the store we call home.

Foto Care has continues to represent a home and haven for those that care as much about the craft of Photography as anything else. Our mentorship of students and assistants ready take the leap to full time professional is stronger than ever as is our technical guidance for those that need a helping hand.
